As I write, I'm listening to worship music playing and wondered when was the last time I stopped to thank God for the business and other endeavors I can do? Things are typically so busy that I can't remember when last I intentionally praised the Lord for the capacity He's given to plan and start an enterprise. This despite the fact that I've run multiple small businesses over the years.
Deuteronomy 8:18 - But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
How have you remembered the Lord for the blessing of being able to produce wealth either through your business or employment?
If you're anything like me, you're frequently asking God to help you out with your business and to give you the strength to accomplish the long list of tasks that await. You might regularly pour out your fears and frustrations to Him and thank Him when things go well.
Yet, we are to thank the Lord for all things and the businesses we pour our sweat and time into should be on that list of things we must acknowledge Him for.
Today, I'm going to get on my knees and express my appreciation. I thank Him for the projects I'm working on currently. I thank Him for the other things that are on the horizon. Some of these are slow-moving because of me, but God in His mercy continues to help me. He truly deserves all the praise for His patience and kindness.
So, Lord, I thank You for all You are doing, have done and will do for my businesses and other endeavors. I call on You to kindly place Your gracious hand upon them and open the doors that cannot be shut, IJMN, Amen.
