The term compassion refers to having concern, pity, or sympathy for someone or something. Sadly, it is in short supply in many communities around the world. For the children of God, though, compassion is waiting to envelop them.
This is because God is compassionate. We see His compassion at work in the story of Jonah and Nineveh. That kingdom was an enemy of the Jewish people. And so when the Lord sent Jonah - a Jew - there, he initially refused. God, in His patience and wisdom, pointed out to His servant in Jonah 4:11 - And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”
Just as God was unwilling to abandon Nineveh's population to their sin, His Son refused to allow satan to have the final say over the destiny of humanity. It was compassion that caused Him to agree to die for all people. Even before He died on the cross, Christ consistently displayed God's compassion.
In Matthew 14:14, He "saw a large crowd...had compassion on them and healed their sick." He didn't stop there, of course. In compassion for the heartbreak felt by Martha and Mary, we are told He wept over the loss of their brother, Lazarus (John 16:35). Then, He went on to display the glory and power of the Lord by bringing the dead man back to life (John 16:43-44).
We serve the God of compassion. He is the God who longs to pour out His compassion and will bless all who wait on Him per Isaiah 30:18 - Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Notice that those who wait upon Him are blessed. Thus, patience is key to receiving the blessed compassion of the Lord. Since He saves those who call on Him we know that when we petition Him for His compassion He will grant it (Joel 2:28). Despite this promise, do not forget the word of God where He has also promised not to answer the prayers of the wicked (Proverbs 15:29). Thus, to receive the blessing of His compassion, you cannot afford to be a wicked person. The only way to achieve this is to live in accordance with scripture (1 John 1:7). If you measure yourself by worldly understanding instead of God's word, you will not be righteous and your petitions will not be answered.
Start moving in the direction of righteousness today and call on God to help you live a life that pleases Him (Ephesians 4:1). Know that God wants everyone to enjoy His compassion. He will do whatever it takes for you to experience it.
Tell Him you want this and be sure to obey His instructions in the Bible. Appeal to the God of compassion to help you with whatever challenge stands in your way. He is ready and willing to show Himself as compassionate to you.

I have remained steadfast in Your love and armor despite the worst occurrences, because I love You as my Father in Heaven and I am grateful. Let's not waste any time, let's get to praying, STAT...
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God of Compassion. Thank You for opening Your ear to us. Thank You for keeping Your loving eye upon us to steer us aright and keep us from harm. Thank You for being the God who foils the devices of the crafty that were and are set against us. You do not do this because we are so holy or righteous. You do this because You are holy. You are righteous. You are compassionate beyond our understanding. Thank You, Great and Mighty God.
Lord, we use this opportunity to cry out to You. We know we are sinners who have fallen short of Your glory. We have thereby deprived You of our true worship. We are sorry and repent for this. Please forgive us. Let this be like the days of Noah when You committed to never rebuke us again (Isaiah 54:9). Please Lord, have mercy upon us.
In that mercy, we appeal to You to show us Your compassion. You know the issues we each face and we call on You, the God of Compassion, to pour Your compassion into that challenge and bring about Your miraculous solution. Please speak to us and tell us what, if anything, You want us to do. Please guide us, great King. Help us. May we follow Your instruction and walk hand in hand with You into our victory. All by Your grace and to Your glory, IJMN, Amen.
Please say the prayer above with zeal. Remember it is the fervent prayer of the righteous that is deemed effective in James 5:16. And if you are wondering whether you are righteous, I speak over you that by your genuine participation in today's fellowship, the Lord in His compassion will ascribe righteousness unto you for His word states that our vindication (aka righteousness) comes from Him in Isaiah 54:17.

Heavenly Father, we face an adversary that wants us to not enjoy Your compassion. It wants us to suffer like it does for it has fallen out of Your grace. But praise be onto the Almighty! The One who grants us beautiful grace in Jesus.
Father, I thus pray that Your children will experience the joy of Your compassion. That this will bring Your restoration in their lives. That which the cankerworm and the locust worm stole will be returned and even more by Your grace and to Your glory, IJMN, Amen.

We are lacking no spiritual gifts and as such, the enemy cannot attack us with the spirit of laziness (1 Corinthians 1:7). The devil breeds confusion, contention, and dissatisfaction among Your people. However, Lord, You have eternal dominion (Daniel 4:34) and that will never change.
Pour out Your Spirit, Lord. Let Your flock move as one to Your voice. For the word tells us, John 10:27 - My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
PRAYER TIME
Let us turn our attention to the needs of others and intercede for them. For the next 25 minutes, put your own petitions aside and pray for someone else. Lift up a situation that's troubled you on the news or that you heard about. Call on the Lord to have mercy and provide His excellent solution.
This is the time to pray fervently. Pray as if someone's life depends on it, because, it does.

I know she is hurt because of her own sad experiences, please guide her to You Father. She deserves to know the peace, love, and compassion You offer and only You can. Thank you for the grace and compassion I am still able to extend her way despite her abuse. Messiah, thank You for bringing us together for another P&P. Not everyone who started this journey with us is still here. Lord, continue to keep us under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Thank You for continuing to bring us together to honor You (Hebrews 10:25). Thank You for bringing strangers to our fellowship and showing them Your grace and glory. Thank You for not denying us the privilege of seeing Your might in our midst.

At each Praise & Pray (for others) gathering, I invite participants to give their lives to Christ and accept Him into their hearts as their Lord and Savior.
Today, I'd like to share the following scripture -
1 Timothy 1:15-16 - This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them, but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life (GNT).
Jesus died on the cross because of the love He and the Father have for each of us. He died because our sin created a distance from the Lord and allowed satan to have authority over our lives and where we'd end up after death.
Give your life to Christ and experience the reconciliation you need to have with God. That reconciliation is just a step toward the freedom you need from all the things seeking to keep you from enjoying a better life filled with God's fullness of life and His goodness. A life that you will navigate with Him, holding your hand and leading you to reside in heaven forever when your eyes close on this side of reality.
If you would like to be born again and receive the Holy Spirit, please say this prayer out loud -
Jesus. Thank You for dying a painful death on the cross for my sins. I admit I am a sinner and repent for all of my sinful ways. Thank You for Your sacrifice washes me clean and takes me out of the devil's clutches and into God's embrace. From today, I commit to follow You and to let You lead me to my Lord so I may be seated in heavenly places with You. Thank You for caring so much about me, IJN, I pray, Amen.
As you've prayed, you've dropped the yoke of sin satan placed on you. You are now a bona fide child of God. It is time to give Him thanks!
Now please make prayer a regular part of your life. It is simply you talking to the Lord. Also, please start reading the Bible and ask God to make it come alive for you. It holds all the answers you need. You can start by reading the Epistle of John, the Book of Acts, and the Book of Romans. Get water baptized as quickly as you can and ask God to lead you to a church of His choosing.
