We live in uncertain times. Often, a person goes to bed only to wake to a completely different world. In the span of a few hours, wars have sprung up, natural disasters have leveled cities, and artificial intelligence has cost tens of thousands their jobs.
That is more than enough reason to make people anxious. After all, they have no idea what they will wake up to in the morning. And as anxiety mounts, the spirit of fear creeps in and settles into the minds and hearts of people. They are left unsettled with no sense of security or stability. All of this is the devil's design.
God, on the other hand, has instructed His own to have no fear. This is a command and not a suggestion. In fact, it can be found all over the Bible. When God said to have no fear, He meant it and as such, a child of God is in rebellion when they allow fear to overwhelm them. Granted, the Lord never said there wouldn't be cause to be afraid. He has, however, assured His people that there is no need for them to succumb to that fear.
Specifically, He said in Genesis 26:24 - ...Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you. Sadly, it is easy to forget this promise, especially when all one sees are fires that need to be put out. And yet, God expects His own to remember that He has promised to never leave their side (Deuteronomy 31:8). He also expects His own to remember that "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2).
It takes time to learn some of God's promises given that there are so many. It also takes time to learn how to fling these verses as wordstones at every challenging situation. Nevertheless, these things must be done and the more we practice, the more proficient we become. Jesus said to His detractors in Mark 12:24 - Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? This is a condition we don't want for ourselves. Thus, studying the Word is not optional, particularly in these dark times when troubles wait at every corner to steal our confidence in the Lord.
God expects those who believe in Him to remember His miraculous works and know that what He's done before, He will do again, plus more. His children must look past the raging storms of life, and invite Him into their boat so that the seas will calm around them. He has told us to set our fears aside and pray because then, things happen. He has said that His glory rises upon us and that makes a difference. He has promised the fullness of life to those who want it.
Many in the world seek out 'mantras' (which stem from Hinduism) and watch subliminal videos (which are popular in the occult and New Age practice) to gain peace. However, there is no lasting peace for anyone who fails to lean on God and strive for a righteous life that pleases Him. Ignoring Him for other solutions allows fear to be entrenched in a person's life because the spirit of fear only bows to the name of Jesus which brings the power and presence of the Lord.
Therefore, remember what He has promised and proclaim it over the situation threatening to fill you with fear - Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you. Keep saying it until you know it to be true and see it come to pass. God cannot ignore His word and He will surely show up to fulfill it.

I come against every spirit of fear seeking to swallow those who participated. I decree in the name of Jesus Christ, that these ones are off-limits. Only God gets to determine what happens to His own. They are covered by the blood of Jesus and not subject to the pestering and attacks of the enemy of their souls. I cast every evil spirit seeking to drown them in fear to the pit of hell to never return. For those whom the Son has set free, are free indeed. AMEN.

LAST 10 MINUTES
Today, we were reminded that God wants us to say no to fear. He has given us many weapons to fight that spirit and it is imperative that we start fighting. We can't just lie down and let fear overwhelm us. Not as people who believe that God is real and that we belong to Him.
Let us use the following scripture to pray over ourselves: Psalm 112:8 - Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being our shield and rampart. You surround Your own, leading them through all the challenges of life so they don't look like what they've been through. Good Lord, let my heart be secure in Your might, with no fear. Strengthen and remind me that in all things I can and do look at my for - the spirit of fear - in triumph. You have already won the victory for me and so I am victorious to Your glory and by Your grace, IJMN, Amen.
Now that you have prayed for yourself, be sure to pray for someone else as well.
From BI - Abba, I pray for those who have wandered away from You. They heard the word but let the troubles of life distract them. I thank You for being a merciful Father. Even when Your children leave, You remain loving, merciful and patient. I pray that Your children submit to You. I pray that the Holy Spirit descends upon them and grant them discernment. Lord, the father of a sick child called on Jesus to help him overcome his unbelief (Mark 9:24). God, You know satan works overtime to make people think You are incapable of doing what You have covenanted to do. But, God, I know You can do all things and Your purpose cannot be thwarted (Job 42:2). Satan may roar but what it wants is irrelevant and less than nothing (Isaiah 41:24).
Therefore, I pray for increased faith in Your people. Encounters that transform them from a place of anguish and fear, to an understanding of how important they are to You. That Your people will stand tall, free from the shackles satan uses to bind. That they will walk in the Spirit of the Lord, for where the Spirit of God is, there is an abundance of Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17). Hallelujah!

I command these and all confederate spirits to leave in accordance with Your word in Luke 9:1. Lord, the accuser uses the sins of Your children against them to slander and defame them in an effort to keep them from enjoying Your grace.
However, You are a merciful God. You are He who can and does show mercy to people for no reason other than Your great and mighty Name.
Dear King, we lift Psalm 51:1 up for people everywhere that they will avail themselves to and receive Your forgiveness. Psalm 51:1 - Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

Sovereign Lord, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You Lord have come to bring fullness of life according to John 10:10.
Father, we cry out to You for peace. Let Your peace take root all over the world. Let the words spoken by the Savior in Mark 4:39 - Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm (NKJV) come to pass in our time.
For You are He who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations (Psalm 65:7).
Give rest to Your children that they may live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest in accordance with Your promise in Isaiah 32:18. And that all shades of fear will fade away.

PRAYER TIME
The Lord wants us to pray and to pray ceaselessly. We are also told to pray for others and there are great examples of intercessors who have done so to their blessing and the glory of God.
Right now, let's pray for folks. Stand in the gap for them, pleading for their lives to change by the grace of God. Ask your Heavenly Father to show them mercy. Pray!
Not sure who to pray for? Pray for your next-door neighbor. Pray for the poor. Pray for those living in war-torn countries. Pray for people who do not know the Lord and do not know Jesus Christ.
There are so many people in need, intercede on their behalf. Let your prayers rise to God as a sweet-smelling incense that reminds Him of their situation and the need for Him to quickly step in.

Lord, I appreciate You greatly. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ on behalf of sinners like me. He did not come to earth for the healthy but for the physically and spiritually sick.

Do you know that one of satan's many objectives is to stop YOU from giving God praise? If you're wondering why satan would bother, I'll give you a quick reason. The Bible literally says that praising the Lord silences the devil in Psalm 8:2.
And do you know what your praising does for YOU? It opens the doors of heaven giving you direct access to the Lord (Psalm 100:4). He just loves to receive our praises and has instructed us to give them for our benefit.
Don't let the devil punk you by stealing your God-given right to worship your God and please Him!

The world is chaotic but through it all God has promised us his mighty peace in Phillipians 4:7. I know it is easy for us to focus on the natural circumstances and forget that God is working behind the scenes in the spiritual. I pray that our Abba will shift our focus from the natural to the spiritual so we can see every battle he has conquered on our behalf. He said he will take care of everything that is a source of worry in 1Peter 5:7. I pray no matter how rocky things get, we hold on to his vast promises in his word.
