Have you ever met someone who loves attention and demands it constantly? Everything they do is to force all eyes onto them. To the extent that they will often do silly things, all because they need everyone to focus on them. What do you do with such people? I've learned to give them as little 'oxygen' as they desire. I've learned that the less they can count on me for their 'supply', the more they avoid me. When that happens, all parties are content.
To some extent, we need to apply the same approach to satan. We need to learn to starve it of what it desires from us. This begs the question: What does satan want from believers? We've previously discussed that the enemy wants people to think God is a liar, and it strives to use God's children to make this point. It does this to steal, kill, and destroy all who submit to its evil scheme (John 10:10).
As those who believe in Jesus and His Father, the Almighty God, we know that we cannot allow satan to use us in scoring points against our Creator. Therefore, it is imperative to identify the behavioral and thought patterns in our lives that lead to sin and thus satisfy the devil's desires so we can deprive it of its supply.
If depression is a challenge, remember that the word of God instructs believers to always be joyful and thank Him in every situation (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). God understood that being joyful and thankful at all times wouldn't be easy. So, He provided the solution in Isaiah 61:3, which teaches that we are to praise the Lord when we feel down. If you continually apply praise when thoughts and developments drag you from a place of expectation and hope, you starve satan of its plan to steal your joy. You shut the door on the devil's desire to convince you that God cannot and will not bless your present and future.
If disease is the issue, then the Bible also has many avenues to healing. If sin has contributed to it, then Psalm 149 holds the key. Or did the disease arise some other way? Proverbs 4:20-22 states God's word is medicine, therefore, take it as one would medication, with every meal. In practical terms, open the Word and read/proclaim scripture in faith and watch God's promise bring healing. This, and proclaiming other scripture on the issue, is key and should not be ignored for science alone. Plus, remembering your body is His preferred dwelling place and treating it as such will never hurt.
If fear is crippling then dig into your faith. Find God's word on the issue that frightens (Romans 10:17). Then, having obtained it, stand firm, treating scripture as a solid foundation and promise from which you don't move. Jairus did this and was successful. Remember your Jericho Moments and familiarize yourself with the testimonies of others. Remember that God reserves His best for His children and don't live in sin without the fear of the Lord. Look satan in the eye and say 'not today' and wait on God to finish what He is doing in fulfillment of your prayers.
And if you think insufficient funds are the issue, permit me to stop you. Money is not your challenge. There is, however, an underlying problem that you need to address. Is it failing to trust God for provision? Is it pride - thinking you must rely upon yourself for everything and thus not stopping to receive God's guidance on how to do things? Do you think your problems are too big for God to solve? Or is idolatry at play whereby you've made Mammon, social media, or something else your god? Whatever the case, identifying the underlying issue puts you on track to starve satan. Thankfully, God is more than able to set you free, so prayerfully seek His strategy.
Whatever challenge is causing you to fall back into sin, the solution is in God's word. Search scripture for your weapons and apply them in faith, day by day. The Lord will back you up, and you will starve satan of what it needs - that you sin against God. You might be struggling with sin and thinking God isn't helping, but fully submit to the power of His word to cleanse, heal, and restore. Are you allowing Him to change you? Are you giving His Spirit room to guide you or even stir you up? Have you chosen to allow the blood of Jesus to surround you? God has given you all you need to successfully starve satan and increasingly live a life of victory. The key is to cooperate. God bless you.

Father, I call on You to kindly show favor on all those who have participated in today's fellowship. I go further to call on You to extend that favor to all who have ever participated. Lord, let's go even further and call for an extension of your blessed favor upon these individuals and their loved ones - those You have put in their lives to be blessed by them. 2 Peter 1:2 - Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. This is my prayer for them and all who belong to them, IJMN, Amen.

We've got a few minutes to pray for ourselves, so let's make that time count.
Lord, the Bible makes it clear that all power belongs to You. You gave the keys to heaven and earth to Your Son Jesus and He told us in Luke 10:19 - I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
And so, God, we come before You based on that knowledge. We thank You for empowering us through Jesus to deprive satan of the attention it wants from us. We thank You that through Christ we are strengthened to reject sinful desires and focus on Your desires for us. Thank You God, that from today, we receive increased zeal to live according to Your voice and Your word. Thank You for Your blessed Holy Spirit. We yield to Him so we are led on the path of righteousness and starve satan of what it craves.
Your word promises that as we walk in the light and remain in fellowship with our fellow brethren, the blood of Jesus purifies us of all sins (1 John 1:7). And we know that Jesus stands at Your right hand, interceding and advocating for us. How can we thereby lose? Thank You, gracious and kind Redeemer! Thank You for victory! Thank You that we shall increasingly deprive satan of the sin it depends upon. To You be all the glory. Thank You, Emmanuel! IJN, we have prayed and say, Amen!
I recommend you just give God praises right now. Believe you have what you prayed for and be blessed.
Awesome God, we come to You on behalf of those who are hurting. Father, Your Son Jesus died to set the captives free, and we know that hurt and pain are not of You. Set the captives free, oh Lord. Give Your Spirit to the weary and brokenhearted. Heal them of that which has fractured them. Patch up the broken spaces, fill the hollow points in them. Give them Your love and joy that it overwhelms and spread within them. Touch hearts and minds, Jehovah Rapha.
Move in an unexpected way for our prayer subjects, oh Lord. So many are desperate for anything but don't realize You are the only solution. We decree that the scales fall from their eyes. The chains and shackles break. Their bowed heads be lifted to witness the freedom You have for them and claim it for themselves.
Thank You oh gracious King, IJN, Amen.
God, I call upon You to kindly show Your might in the lives of Your children. Let testimonies overflow, Jehovah, because of Your blessed miracles. Father, provide Your never-ending manna and water in the lives of many. Jireh - the Provider.

Father, we come before You in great humility and call on You to silence the enemy trying to slander and accuse Your children. Give Your children rest on all sides as You gave King David.
God as Your children, we speak Your words in Isaiah 41:1 - "Be silent before me..." Father, You have given us "authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy" and you declared over us that "nothing will harm you" (Luke 10:19).
As such, we speak with confidence and cry out to You to silence the destroyer for the sake of Your great name. Silence the distraction it sends and the chaos it creates. Strengthen and empower Your children against the thief which "comes only to steal and kill and destroy" for You Lord "have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
You, oh Lord, have the final say. Amen.
Your word calls on us to pray for all men as well as those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Lord, I call on You for good governance in this nation and across the world. We need good governance here and elsewhere for Your word to spread and touch hearts and minds. The enemy uses chaos, corruption, and control to limit the effect of Your presence. But, You are the only God and You have told us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Lord, heal the land and bring governance in every area of our society that honors and serves You. IJN, Amen!
From JIR - Please Lord, place Your hands on those who are terminally ill or sick. We know that all things are possible through You, Lord. Please bless them and surround them with love and compassion. Please bless the doctors and surgeons performing the surgeries on the terminally ill or sick with knowledge and wisdom and with sharp eyes, steady hands and support from their teams to be successful in their surgeries. Please bless the patients to pull through and be able to live full lives ahead of them. All things are possible with You in the midst, Lord. Please bless them with miracles to extend their lives. Father, the enemy enjoys seeing people sick and dying. However, You pleasure in healing the sick and raising the dead. You have proved this through Your servants who came before and after Jesus, including Christ the Lamb of God Himself.
And so, it is with this knowledge that I lift up my prayer subjects who are in need of healing. Jehovah Rapha. Jehovah Ropheka. The Great Balm of Gilead. The Mighty Physician. I lift up the words of King Hezekiah, a king You loved so much that You heard his anguish and not only healed him but extended His life.
Lord, work that miracle in the lives of my prayer subjects. Please make them healthy and strong again. And restore to them the good health they've lost and need. Remember You are He who has promised fullness of life, good health is an intrinsic part of that promise, Messiah. And so it is to You I come with this request in gratitude that You would indeed hear and answer.
Strong and Mighty God, I give You praise because I will hear word of miracles and the bedridden rising from their beds. Miraculous healing that stupefies science, doctors, and naysayers. Testimony that acknowledges that my God is the only God. IJMN Amen.

As we have praised, we can now enter the gates of the Lord's abode with our intercession for other people.
That's one of the benefits of praise, it makes our God pleased and we have His ear.
And so, we won't miss this blessed opportunity to pray for people. Remember this is not the time to pray for yourself. There will be time for that.
Instead give to others in prayers. Jesus Himself taught that it is better to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
1 Chronicles 16:34 - Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Eternal King, how can we praise You enough? How can we utter enough words to express how great You are? We are incapable but I thank You for even allowing us to try. You don't need our adoration but You give us the privilege of exalting You.
Miracle-worker. You who show up right on time to deliver us. You who don't stop fighting for us. You who destroy the enemy all for our sake. You give others as ransom for us. You break our opponents and consider them your personal enemies. You set ambushments against them.
All because You love us. With a never-ending love that can't be bought and will never stop.
Oh, thank You, God.
Thank You God for placing a deposit of the Holy Spirit in Your children who have accepted Your truth - that You are in control and do a great job caring for us as exemplified by the sacrifice You made for our sakes in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Messiah.
Father, continue to expand in us. Psalm 24:1 - The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
As such, we are Yours and we call on You to fill us up with more of You so that we glorify You in thoughts, words, deeds, and reflect Your light to those who are shrouded in darkness. Praise be unto You Jehovah!

Thank you for today’s message sis @FFJ. That evil serpent is always plotting. I thank God that through Christ, He has equipped us with the armor and weapons we need; unconquerable against anything in this world. There are many areas that God has pointed out to me that I struggle with and need to starve satan from. The Lord is patiently guiding me and working with me through those areas and although it is a struggle when I praise Him as you touched upon, satan flees and I feel the spirit of heaviness lifting and that heaviness turns into me feeling that I can overcome the world by the grace of God - all my worries go away. I need to start fighting back with Scripture as well. His infallible Word will always be undefeated. ALTAR CALL
Today's post is all about starving satan of what it wants from you - sin. It wants you living in sin so it can accuse you of being undeserving of God's blessings and promises. Don't think this doesn't happen. There's a reason why the devil is called "the accuser of the brethren" in Revelation 12:10.
And the key way to silence the accuser is to be born again in Jesus Christ. Jesus stands as an advocate for those who choose Him as their Lord and Savior. Please realize that to get to heaven, you have to go through Jesus. These aren't my words, they are from the Lamb of God Himself in John 14:6 - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Good deeds, kindness, and the hallmarks of a well-lived life aren't enough. You have to realize that you can't do life without Him. You need Him to get you out of the messy entanglements you're in. You have to put your pride aside and ask Him to get you there.
Now is your opportunity to do just that and get baptized in the Spirit (John 3:5).
Don't worry about not being perfect enough for God. He will take your hand right where you are and lead you to the improved you. Jesus hardly hung out with perfect people. It was prostitutes, fornicators, tax collectors, the poor, and the sick that made up His crew. His job is to take your sins away when you choose to be born again. To make you brand new and free from past shame and guilt.
If your heart is open, plus if as in Psalm 42:2, your soul thirsts for God and you want to appear in His presence, why don't you say the following prayer?
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I confess my sins right now to you. And I believe that you are the son of God. I believe that you came, you died, you rose again, and you paid the price for my sins. Today, I accept the new life, today I accept the Holy Spirit. Come dwell in me, make Your home in me. I will never be the same again. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Praise God, and welcome to the household of the Lord.
Please let the Lord transform you. He loves you as you are and welcomes you just that way, but He will change you. I'd be doing you a disservice if I didn't let you know. My recommendation is that you let Him have His way and bow to the beautiful changes He will bring your way.
