Do you know that at the heart of everything satan does is the attempt to prove God a liar? I know, I know, you're probably wondering why the devil would bother. Certain scriptures are likely flooding your mind right now. Could it be Numbers 23:19, which states, God is not human, that he should lie? There's also 1 Samuel 15:29 - He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.” Paul also said "it is impossible for God to lie" in Hebrews 6:18.
Although there's more scripture where those came from, the point is - God cannot lie. It isn't just that He doesn't lie. So, why would the devil bother to try and establish something that is impossible to prove? The devil knows it can't prove God a liar, but it also knows that it can make human beings believe the Lord is untruthful.
Now that we understand satan's objective, we need to recognize how satan tries to get us to agree with its wicked scheme. A chief example to learn from is in the Book of Job. The devil attacked Job because it wanted to prove God wrong. The Lord said of His servant in Job 1:8 - ...There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.
The devil responded that Job only honored God because he was blessed. From that moment, everything Job experienced stemmed from the enemy's desire to contradict God so it could call Him a liar.
For some reason, satan didn't learn from this and chose to mess with Jesus. During the temptation in the wilderness, the devil attempted to get Jesus to sin. Despite knowing He was the Son of God, it twisted scripture, hoping to push Jesus out of God's plan and timing for His life. If it had succeeded, it would have claimed the Lord was a liar. It would have said that God is no different from itself.
The devil is trying to achieve the same with you. It wants to manipulate you into thinking that God lies. So, take a look at your life. Where is the enemy telling you that God cannot move for you? How is the enemy trying to convince you that God is a liar? Is it regarding your prayers for people or your hopes for yourself? Is there a defect in your character that you've struggled to overcome? Is the enemy telling you you'll never be better than you are right now? Do you believe that God has failed you in some way?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, I pray the Lord will shift your perspective to reveal what you need to know about your season and His plans for you. I also pray that this message will edify.
God is very orderly and that order is reflected in nature as well as the spiritual realm. We often forget that a planted seed takes time to germinate. In addition, water and sunlight are needed for the plant to produce fruits. Sometimes, we willfully ignore the fact that this process impacts our prayer lives. Therefore, 'watering' via continued prayer is required, which is why Jesus said men ought always to pray (Luke 18:1).
We must also keep that prayer seed exposed to sunshine via Bible study and the proclamation of God's word over our petitions. And by holding onto our faith, we stand firm thereby keeping away the pests and other vermin seeking to destroy what is growing before its fruits feed us and others. Then there's also the fact God wants to transform us as we wait for the prayer seed to germinate into complete fulfillment. Imagine a farmer who plants but is too lazy to come back and weed. Or one who lacks the discipline to fertilize when needed?
Many of us want to throw the seed in the ground without performing the activities that not only strengthen us but strengthen what we've planted. God is not a magician. His way is to partner with His children, not do everything for them. If He did things that way, He'd infantilize His own instead of training them to become mature believers who do not shake in the face of smoldering firewood. We therefore must consistently play our role in the sowing and reaping cycle to enjoy fruits from our prayers.
This requires us to walk with the Spirit of God, submitting to His cautioning and direction so we exercise our faith and grow spiritually. While not easy, it is possible, and God delights in helping us do better each day so the impact of satan's resistance to our petitions weakens. God's mercy and compassion flow even when we mess up because He lovingly leads us to repent and be purified from our sins (1 John 1:7). And as we do what He wants in every area of our lives, we deprive satan of its goal of proving God a liar. We show satan the liar instead. Hallelujah!

FINAL MESSAGE

Back in April of 2022, I remember the Lord clearly telling me to mention to all of us that there was a need to pray for our mothers. I would regularly put our mothers in prayer and call on God for His mercy and grace.
I got a similar message on Tuesday this week (July 11, 2023) but with everything going on, I neglected to share it. Lord, please forgive me because a couple of things have happened this week to Peppers that reminded me of the need to not just share this message to individuals but with the entire group.
Ladies and gents, the Lord wants us to seat ourselves by the well of living water so that when the dry season arrives we are already well-positioned to draw and drink. What does this mean? If you are already in right-relationship with Jesus, then when the challenges of life come, you are well-positioned to lean on Him for the solutions.
If, however, our walk with the Lord is lax, then when the problems arrive, we start scrambling to get right with God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We start listening to the devil's lie that 'it's been so long since you took the Lord seriously so He won't take you seriously.'
Such lies are immediately eradicated and powerless if we are already walking with God and going to Him daily, doing the things He wants us to do. If we are spending time in His word and being intentional to create time to hear Him speak to us. Not just talking at Him all the time. I mean think about it. Who likes that person who's always talking at them but never slows down to ask and hear what you think or want to say?
Let's get into the habit of investing in a relationship with God so we're not scrambling when the storms of life hit us.
That said, I praise God that He is happy that you come to Him period. Be it before or after the issues arise. He will help you. Nevertheless, it is always best to be prepared than to have to react to things. God is happy to give us that opportunity so let's take advantage of it.
CLOSING PRAYER
Blessed Father, we thank You for bringing us to the end of another week but also for bringing us to the conclusion of another fellowship day. If it wasn't for Your mercy we wouldn't be here to participate. If it wasn't for Your grace we wouldn't have been able to learn today's lesson and receive the strength and wisdom to stand firm against the enemy's desires for us.
Thank You for Your kindness in alerting us to how the devil seeks to use humans to create doubt about Your veracity. By Your grace, Lord, we will never partner with Your enemy, IJMN Amen.
As we step into the rest of this day and the weekend, we submit ourselves to You. Please surround us and fill us with more of You. May we see You and hear You. May we experience You in new ways, submitting to Your authority in all things. IJN Amen.

Thank You for giving people a desire for You. Thank You for whetting their appetites for more of You. Thank You for letting hearts clamor for You. Thank You for kindly pouring out Your Spirit on all mankind in accordance with Your word in Joel 2:28. Be glorified, Lord our Redeemer.

Father, I want to lift up those in our midst who are dealing with the loss of loved ones. Good God, You are a loving God, so please wrap these ones in Your arms. Comfort them in their mourning and show them Your compassion for You are He who longs to be compassionate toward His people.
Lord, turn their mourning into dancing. May they receive Your joy and lift their voices in praise, even through the valley of pain. Strengthen them and give them understanding that will usher them out of the sadness. IJMN, Amen.

I pray that You continue to guide us, direct us, correct us and teach us all for Your glory Lord. God this was the prayer of Your Son. Lord, I lift this up on behalf of the Body of Christ.
Father, sanctify Your people with Your word. May it wash and purify, bringing light into the darkest places within the individuals and the corporate body.
May Your word destroy every stronghold and satanic obstacle seeking to resist the Body. For the word of Christ states, that He would build His church and the gates of hell would never be able to overcome it (Matthew 16:18).
Therefore, Your church marches on to Your glory and by Your grace, IJMN Amen.
From JIR - I pray for those facing lay offs and those who are seeking employment. Please Lord bless them with the strength, comfort, courage they need during this season to carry on. Please Lord touch their hearts to seek You and to put their faith in You. Please open up doors for them that they couldn’t imagine and bless them to be placed in the right places, with the right people. Lord, please bless them with job offers and opportunities in abundance and guide them through the process. IJMN. Amen

Thank you God. I confess that Your grace is working. I confess that Your favor surrounds me like a shield. I confess that I enjoy Your goodness and mercy.
Thank You so much that I can testify to Your faithfulness over me and mine. I appreciate this blessing. Glory be to Your Holy Name.
I pray for others who aren't feeling this way in this moment that You will wrap them up in Your arms. That they will experience Your special embrace and love. Wipe their tears, Lord. God, comfort them in this season, I pray, IJMN, Amen.

Thanks for today’s message sis @FFJ. The enemy is crafty in its schemes but God, the Creator of ALL things cannot be matched. He cannot be defeated. I like how you pointed out the flaws and shortcomings of the human race and how the enemy feeds off that and uses it to his advantage. The enemy cannot contend with God so he tries to “pick on someone his own size”.
I pray that we realize that He Who is in us is greater than he who is in this world, 1 John 4;4. God has given us all the weapons needed to defeat and cause the enemy to flee from us; we just need to realize that. God is the answer to victory. I pray that He peels the scales from our eyes to see that as long as we are obedient, committed and surrendered to Him that He will never forsake us. He has our back. This will cause the enemy to flee from us. As @FFJ would say, the enemy is less than nothing. Let’s not fall for its lies and tricks and fully put our faith and trust in God. IJMN.
