Bow Down & Worship - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) June 1, 2021

Last night I went to my room for some quiet and to prepare for Praise & Pray. While searching for a song to worship with, I came upon a video from a Georgia native - Quandra Banks. She'd been at the park and broke into spontaneous praise of the Lord. Apparently, she'd been in hospital at some point in time and the prognosis was that she'd never sing again. Now she's back to give God praise.

How many of us are doing the same?

To see her pour out her heart in worship to the Lord and feel the intensity of her gratitude was compelling. My Memorial Day had been one of testimony and blessings so to hear her testify was a reminder to continue to give God His due.

Indeed, we are told in Exodus 4:31 - and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.

This verse is about the Israelite elders when they were still slaves in Egypt. See how thy were moved to worship when they learned of how much concern God had for them? Moses brought word, as the Lord's servant, that He was about to bring them out of enslavement. In their humility, they didn't wait for Him to come through, they just bowed down and worshipped Him. They didn't make the mistake of trying to negotiate with God - of saying they'd praise Him once He'd kept His promise. That was a mistake the stubborn Pharaoh of Egypt ultimately made and it cost him.

Don't lose sight of what God has done in your life. Write it down. Testify to His goodness. Remember that your life is only because of His grace. It is His mercy that enables you to exist. No matter what you are going through, let us remember today to bow down and worship Him. Touch your forehead to the ground in reverence. Dance with abandon like King David.

Know that God sees what you're going through. He hasn't forgotten you. You remain precious and beloved to Him. Praise your way to your victory. Worship Him now and after the battle is won. Glory to God in the highest! He is indeed worthy of our adoration and I hope you'll use today's Praise & Pray (for others) to honor Him with your thanksgiving.

I know I will.
