Praise God - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) April 20, 2021

Praise is the answer to all that ails us. When we give God glory, He gives us something in return.

Need joy? He's got it! (Isaiah 55:12)

Need peace? He gives it! (John 14:27)

Need rest? He gives rest to His beloved. (Psalm 127:2)

Need provision? He's the source. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

This message may seem redundant but ask yourself, is it? How may of us allow our emotions to control how we feel, and thereby walk around feeling grumpy or sad? Sometimes, for no particular reason. You'll feel tired and overwhelmed, despite having gone to bed early the night before.

What's the cure? Simple - Worship. And by this, I mean genuine worship with abandon. Sit and list all the Lord's done for you and thank Him. Then turn on some praise music, get on your knees and lift up your hands in true gratitude as thanksgiving flows from you to Him.

When last did you do that?

Don't worry, we're going to do it today. It's almost Praise & Pray (for others) time. Let us gather, with our list of reasons to honor the Lord who has done everything for us and those we care about. He's answered our prayers, given us reasons to dance even in the midst of thick troubles all around us.

Psalm 95:1 - Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

And when we're done praising Him, we shall come with our list of people/matters to pray for, lifting them up to the Lord for His blessing and comfort. There are so many issues to pray about and we will do so without focusing on our own challenges. God knows what we need, so we'll focus on others.
