He is For Me - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) August 10, 2021

He is for me, He is not against me.

Read that sentence one more time. Again if you need to, so it sinks in.

God is on your side. He isn't against you.

Often times, we think we've offended God or that He doesn't love us. Maybe something we'd been planning for didn't happen the way we expected. Or, someone we prayed for didn't receive what we asked for. There could be several reasons why we think the Lord doesn't like us on any given day. However, if you profess to be a child of God, then Isaiah 1:9 applies to you. That word states - I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’ I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

Want to know what it's like to be rejected by the Sovereign Lord? In the book of Joshua, God showed just how much He disliked the Army of Five Kings who went against His people. During a battle, He rained stones down on the enemy (Joshua 10:11). Can you imagine showing up to a fight against humans only to have the Creator of the Universe jump into the fight against you? He didn't stop there. He threw the enemy into confusion and when Joshua asked the sun to stay in the sky, it didn't budge. The God of Creation held the sun in the sky so His people could fight for over a day and whoop, ahem...I mean, get the victory.

There are examples like this all over the Bible - our Big God stepping into the fight to ensure those He loves don't get trounced by the wicked. There are also examples in the lives of people you know, where God has done this. Yes, the God who dropped hailstones to make sure His beloved people won the battle in the Old Testament is still dropping hailstones for His beloved children today! Praise the Lord!

God is for you. He loves you. He wants you to do the needful so when You call Him into the fight, He'll march right in and scatter the place for you. If we serve Him, honor Him, show Him love by loving others, we qualify to have Him stand for us. He then will consider our enemies to be His enemies and we'll get to boldly say Arise oh Lord, let Thy enemies be scattered (Numbers 10:35). And when we cry out like that, He'll unleash His might upon those who thought they could oppose you.

And you'll see how much He's for you and loves you.

Join us at 12 Noon EST Tuesday August 9th, 2021 to fellowship. We'll praise the Lord, then intercede for others in prayer. May the Lord bless you.
