It's another day! We have life. Breath flows through our lungs and out our nostrils. For those of us who are able-bodied, we can move our limbs and take care of ourselves without assistance. Our brains are functioning and we can complete complex and simple mental tasks.
Sometimes, because we are so blessed, we forget that those blessings aren't a result of our personal might. We often forget that there is a God who orders our steps when we let Him. It is only by His grace that we haven't been overrun by satan because that is exactly what satan wants to do. You know - kill, steal and destroy our lives (John 10:10).
We think that we have the power to create our 'reality' and charge ahead doing all sorts of things without acknowledging God's role as our Creator, our King, our Salvation.
We sit down and plan out our whole life with such great hubris, ignoring that the Bible warns us to submit to the Lord's will. Failure to do so is to be like the one described in James 4:16 - As it is you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.
Let us be humble before our God so we don't allow our ego and pride to cause us to run afoul of Him.
That said, I hope you'll join in today's Praise & Pray (for others) and use this as an opportunity to humble yourself before the Lord. Please join us as we worship Him and offer supplication for other people in accordance to the instruction to pray for the children of God (Ephesians 6:18). We believe that God is working and His will will be done in our lives as we honor Him.
God bless you and hope to see you at 12 Noon EST.
ETA: User @WildSweetOrange shared the following verse with us back in February. How apt it is - Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (NKJV)
