We've been learning about intercessors in the Bible and how it is a crucial ministry for those who profess to believe in Christ and therefore the Lord God Almighty.

Yesterday, the Lord pointed me to another example of intercession and the results it can bring forth. Not from the pages of the Bible this time but from our current day and age. Indeed miracles are still happening all around us we just need to look.

In the last few weeks, you may have noticed me raise the nation of Haiti and the kidnapped Christian missionaries as prayer points. Well people around the world have been fasting and praying for the safe return of the missionaries. In fact a 3 day fast began yesterday on the issue. No sooner had it begun than there was word 2 more hostages had been released. Hallelujah!

Now, do I wish all the hostages were freed? Absolutely. A total of 17 missionaries (including five children) were kidnapped by a gang on October 16th. On November 21st, two people were released, and on Sunday night an additional three were set free. This means only five of the hostages are out of the gang's clutches. Still, we must appreciate the Lord for answered prayers. After all, 1 Thessalonians 5:16 tells us Rejoice always.

Also, remember the lesson from our November 30, 2021 message? God can answer our intercession in a way that's not exactly what we expect. Our job is simply to praise Him. He knows best and if we remember that His love abounds then we must go on trusting in His faithfulness.

When believers get together to humble themselves before the Lord, we provoke Him to action. After all, He promised in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Let us continue joining hands to intercede and praise the Sovereign Lord. Whatever or whoever you're praying for, don't stop. It's never too late for God to work a miracle and do what was thought impossible.

Join us at 12 Noon EST to praise our Father up above as well as petition on behalf of others. Come armed with worship music, reasons to be thankful, and people/issues to pray for. God bless you.

PS: I will likely be in jury duty during today's fellowship. Please forgive any glitches on my part. I trust the Lord to guide us through. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
