No Need For Fear - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) August 17, 2021

Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 - ... And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. When the Savior said this He wanted His disciples to know that whether they see Him or not, He would be right by their side. It was His own way of saying, There is no need to fear, I am with you always.

If we remember this we can face any challenge that comes our way. We can stare down the giant Goliaths that pop up on a daily basis without fear. We can stand - with our chest out - and rebuke the enemy each and every time it tries to intimidate us.

Psalm 27:1 - The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

Romans 8:31 - What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Fear aims to cause us to disbelieve all the things God has said about us as those who call ourselves His children. The spirit of fear wants us to disobey the Lord and shrink back as the Israelites did at Kadesh Barnea when they believed the bad report and refused to go into the Promised Land the Lord assigned to them (Numbers 13 &14).

Don't succumb to fear. DO whatever it takes to banish it - sing songs of praise to the Lord, recite your favorite Bible verses, remember your testimony or the testimony of others, tell satan "I REBUKE YOU" or "BE SILENT BEFORE ME" (Isaiah 41:1). Remember that whoever is born of God overcomes the world (1 John 5:4).

Chase fear away. After all, the Bible states in James 4:7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. This requires you to take an active step in rejecting whatever the devil is saying and offering, to choose what God said so long ago about you.

Not sure what God Almighty has said about YOU? Here's a small sample from the Bible -

  1. Matthew 5:13 - You are the salt of the earth

  2. Isaiah 62:3 - You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

  3. Isaiah 43:4 - Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.

  4. Jeremiah 1:5 - “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

  5. Matthew 5:14 - “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

  6. 1 John 4:9 - This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

  7. Zechariah 2:8 - ...for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye...

  8. Psalm 139:14 - I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

God has written several love letters to you. Open the Bible, pray, and listen for His response. He loves you and because of this, there is no need to fear. Let us resist fear in all its forms remembering that our Creator loves us dearly.

Join us today for Praise & Pray (for others) at Noon EST when we shall praise the God who loves us as an overt step in rejecting the spirit of fear satan wants to saddle us with. After that, we shall stand boldly to intercede for others in prayer, knowing that we have authority in the name of Jesus, Amen.
