Praise Music Brings Joy - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) May 26, 2020

Does a good song change your mood? After a hard day at work then that song comes on the radio, and before you know it, the cares of the workday are a distant memory. I don't listen to much secular music anymore, but I've found that the same concept applies. Whenever I'm feeling down, listening to praise music gets me going! It doesn't matter what type of worship music it is - fast, slow, or even in a language I don't understand - there's just something about praising the Lord that makes everything better. I now understand that praise reconnects us with God. It reminds us of His mercies and elevates our souls. We get to join the cherished heavenly choir in honoring Him. We are fed with the Spirit and empowered. Our joy is renewed and indeed, Nehemiah 8:10 states - Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. For those who are familiar, you know this is where I invite you to join in today's Praise & Pray session. For the unfamiliar, Praise & Pray is an hour long fellowship to serve the Lord with the offering of thanksgiving and prayers for anyone other than ourselves. I hope you'll be able to join in from wherever you are. It starts at 12 noon EST and I recommend you think of the reasons you have to be grateful, have some praise songs/videos handy, and come with a list of people/groups who could do with someone interceding for them in prayer. Get ready! Praise and Pray is almost here! Let's worship the King, knowing we'll get blessed richly for it!
