Thank Him for Wanting You - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) March 22, 2022
When last did you thank God for wanting you?
No, really, when last did you express gratitude to the King of the universe for choosing you to be His child?
When you think about it none of us is special. We're made from dirt after all. And yet, the Bible describes us as "Gods masterpiece" in Ephesians 2:10. And despite our sins and shortcomings, He has called us precious to Him (Isaiah 43:4) and He ensured we were "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14).
All that and so much more has He done. It begs the question, why? Why would God who has all authority and power to do whatever He wants care enough about any of us? After all, we are sinners who fail to be consistently good. Why would we be so important to a God who is perfect?
Psalm 8:3-4 puts this question more eloquently - When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
And yet, God is very mindful of you and I. He wants each of us to be a part of His holy household thus, He reaches out to us over the course of our life, beckoning us to hear His voice and let Him steer us aright.
Will you give God thanks for wanting you? For letting Jesus die and resurrect to set you free from satan's clutches. If not it would have been a forgone conclusion that Satan had complete control over you. But because of God's immeasurable love for you, He laid a claim to you. He declared you HIS. Scars, failures and all. He said "you are MINE" (Isaiah 43:1)
Thank You God for wanting me!
