"You Saved The Best Till Now" - Tuesday Praise & Pray (for others) October 27, 2020

Are you familiar with the story of Jesus turning water to wine?

I've joked with non-believers in the past that the only God I could ever honor and serve was one who understood the need to have alcohol at a party and therefore performed miracles to ensure a party didn't run out of wine.

I recently re-read the story of when Jesus turned water to wine at a wedding in John 2 and noticed something I'd never paid attention to before.

Specifically, after Jesus transformed water to wine, he had someone send some to the Master of Ceremony. The man sipped and commented to the bridegroom in John 2:10, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

I realize that life can very much be like the wedding banquet described in John 2. You're having a good time and then you run out of something you need. In the case of the wedding - it was wine - but in the case of life it can be faith, health, joy, peace of mind, money etc.

We have to be like those in the Water to Wine story and turn to Jesus to restore that which has run out. Once we do this, we have to wait for Him to make the provision and then we must be like the Master of Ceremony who praised, saying, "You have saved the best till now."

What are you in need of from God? What aspect of your life needs restoration? Let's keep it in mind so we can bring it up with God during the last 10 minutes of Praise & Pray. Between now and then, let's get ready to thank God and raise others before Him to release His blessings.

God bless you and see you at Noon.
